Position Title: Shelter Manager/Youth Services Coordinator
Supervised By: Shelter Advocate
Branches Domestic Violence Shelter is a nonprofit organization that is seeking to hire for a Shelter Manager/Youth Services Coordinator. This would be a full-time position consisting of 40 hours weekly with schedule determined upon hire and negotiation. The salary for this position would start out at $30,000 annually.

Physical Demands- Have the ability to work around moderate noise, lift, pull, push, or carry up to twenty-five (25) pounds, climb stairs, stand/walk for long periods of time, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Safety Awareness – Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee and survivor safety in the emergency shelter.
Team Player – actively contribute to group in order to complete tasks, meet goals &/or manage projects
Transportation-Hold valid driver’s license & access to own transportation; willingness and ability to travel
The right candidate will provide needed services to children of parents who are clients of Branches Domestic Violence Shelter, ensure children are receiving appropriate referrals and intervention strategies, develop and implement workshops for Cabell, Wayne, Mason, and Putnam counties to advise teens on how to recognize abusive relationships and how to establish healthy relationships.
Top responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing the day-to-day operations of Branches’ Emergency Shelter.
Repair/maintain cleanliness and appearance of shelter facility, offices and exteriors to ensure safety, healthy environment for residents, clients, including staff & volunteers.
Oversee supplies, donations, maintenance and safety.
Coordinate shopping.
Answering crisis calls and provide shelter coverage as needed.
De-escalate incidents that occur within the shelter either on shift or during on call using the least restrictive measures or conflict between landlord and clients.
