The Branches Book Club:
A Social Justice Initiative
The Branches Book Club is meant to serve as a social justice initiative which means that book choices and topics will center voices from diverse perspectives and experiences. This effort allows us to grow our understanding and educate ourselves so that we can be stronger, more effective allies in our quest for expanding social justice in our services, communities, and personal lives. Ultimately, these efforts work together to further the Branches mission and help to build a future without violence or oppression.
May Reading Selection
For the month of May, Branches is reading "Little Fires Everywhere" by Celeste Ng. Little Fires Everywhere asks powerful questions about the intersection of race and motherhood and asks us to take a closer look at our values regarding motherhood.
