Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month – February 10

Today, our team at Branches is wearing orange in honor of Wear Orange Day, a nationwide initiative during Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. You’ll see us sharing a collage of our staff dressed in orange as a visible reminder that everyone deserves safe, respectful, and healthy relationships—especially our teens.

Teen dating violence is more common than many people realize. According to love is respect, 1 in 3 U.S. teens will experience physical, sexual, or emotional abuse from someone they’re in a relationship with before becoming adults.

These experiences can have long-lasting impacts on mental health, academic success, and future relationships. That’s why awareness matters—and why conversations about healthy relationships need to start early.

By wearing orange today, we’re showing our commitment to:

  • Promoting respect, communication, and boundaries in teen relationships

  • Raising awareness about the warning signs of dating abuse

  • Letting young people know they are not alone and help is available

We invite our community to join us—wear orange, start a conversation with the teens in your life, and help create a culture where healthy relationships are the norm.

Together, we can empower teens to recognize their worth, trust their instincts, and build relationships rooted in safety and respect. 🧡
